Another Razorback

iption of Razorbacks

Since I only had two of the Forge World rhino door kits I did this razorback up using the Inquisition brass etched designs. This guys is the standard heavy bolter config, but I changed the pintle mounted storm bolter to have it's own optics as I never liked the look of the guy popping out of the hatch. The communicator antennae skull thing on the back is from the Aegis Defense Line kit.

Meq Time! LasPlas Razorbacks

iption of Razorbacks

I put together two of my LasPlas Razorbacks using the tutorials I found on Red's Corps old blog (no longer on the net, sadly). This was to have the one LasCannon on the back and the TL Plasma Gun mounted in the gunners position. I really like the look of it and pretty much followed his plan the entire way. The only thing differet was incorporating the Forge World Inquisition Rhino bits and just the usual odd bits and bobs.

The one difference between the two Razorbacks beyond basic bits is that each uses a matching pair of side doors from the two Forgeworld kits. So one Razorback has two plain Inquisition symbols while the other has two doors with the skill embossed Inquisition symbol
.

Crusader 1 & 2

I didn't want to use the metal Crusaders, as nice as they look, mainly due to cost. Like I said before, I have loads of left over fantasy stuff lying around, and it was just perfect to whip these guys up.

They use the bodies from Brettonian men-at-Arms, Empire greatswords heads, White Wolf Knight cloaks, and one elf and one Empire sword. The storm shields are the only real 40k bit on them, that I adorned with both =][= symbols and purity seals. I also used a bit of brass rod, and what probably looks like too much, green stuff to make the swords into power weapons. I have two more of these guys to post up soon as well.

Mystic of Astro Telepathica

I want to use a Mystic in my force to make sure that when I use the Summoning with my Libby I don't get any scatter. The mystic model is left open to wide interpretation in the 'dex with little detail other than he is a weak psyker with a connection to the warp.

I felt that a more military model, a representative of the Astra Telepathica, was more in order for my force. So I build a custom guy using old and new guard parts, a WHFB High Elf leg set, a WHFB wizard head and decorative bits from across my collection. I am pretty happy with the end result on him as the pose makes it looks as if he is communing with the warp. The =][= on his head also brands him as a normal human psyker and a potential liability to the cause. When I paint him the mask will probably be painted in a gold or a metallic at the very least.

HotShot Las Acolytes

Here is the HotShot Lasgun toting trio. The only additional work done on these guys was making my own HotShot Lasguns. I used a tutorial from Pete's 110th Cadian blog and I am happy with the results. My sight bits are different, cut from old plastic marine scouts, but they work none the less.

The goal of these dudes is to run with the Melta acolyte trio. I know the HotShot Las will be useless on meq, but if the melta boys hit some marines instead at short range the AP of the HotShots will hopefully prove more useful than the Storm Bolters.

Acolytes with Storm Bolters

These are the meat & potatoes acolytes who carry around over-sized storm bolters. Again, a mix of the IG kits with bits from 40k and fantasy. I actually start this set with the custom standard bearer of Coteaz. The banner itself is just a bit of photoshop work printed up on card. I will put some paint to it so it blends when it's on the table. Most of the storm bolters are from the Space Wolves though some are just a mix and match from other kits. All the scroll and book hands are WHFB bits but I think they really add that inquisition feel to these fellas.

I also did some pose experimentation as you will notice, including the guy kneeling and reverence and the dude who looks really odd trying to toss a 'nade. Oh well, win some, lose some, but overall I'm happy with them and can't wait to get some paint on them.

Here are the special weapon acolytes. I have 3 plasma toting suicide guys, one melta man (two left to be built) and one flamer guy. These guys use the basic guard kits with a mix of special weapons from across the marine lineup. The back poles are from the GKs and the back packs are a mix of WHFB, WH40k, and Mordheim. I added some wire to the plasma guns and put a mix of varied decorations on these guys including brass =][= on their shoulders. The heads are
Pig Iron Productions heads called HD2 Kolony Militia heads. More to come soon.

Time for the obligatory dreads. These guys have the Forge World bodies with the Aegis Defense Line autocannons. They each have different legs and power plants as well various decorations and adornments. One has the Librarians chained book that I had left over from the Libby co
nversion. The other has a banner from the WHFB flagellants. For their codpieces, one has a Black Templar cloth bit, and the other actually has a WHFB shield from the Empire General kit.
